Startup cohort · San Gabriel Valley

Dental billing automation for the San Gabriel Valley.

Sai for Dentists retrieves your EOBs, posts the insurance payments and reconciles your deposits, on a computer in your own office. It was started in a Glendora dental practice, and the first cohort begins here.

Why here first

The problem was found in a Glendora office.

Dr. Salem Sayegh is a general dentist in Glendora. His practice keeps two full-time employees on the same four steps, repeated for every payer. Amalgamate Technologies exists to hand those steps to an AI agent.

The cohort starts close to home so that setup happens beside your front office, on your own software and portals.

  1. 1Sign in to the payer portal
  2. 2Download the EOB
  3. 3Post payment and write-off
  4. 4Match the bank deposit
Four steps, repeated for every payer, every day. Sai does all four.
Medi-Cal Dental

Same card, two payment routes.

Los Angeles County is one of two California counties with dental managed care, and here it is voluntary. A Medi-Cal patient stays in fee-for-service unless they choose a prepaid dental plan, so check which applies before the claim goes out.

For commercial plans, state law allows 30 calendar days to pay a complete claim. See the California dental billing rules.

What Sai does

Three jobs behind every insurance payment.

EOB retrieval

Sai signs in to each payer portal, clears two-factor prompts and downloads every new statement.

Payment posting

Payments and write-offs go into your practice management software, line by line.

Bank reconciliation

Each deposit is matched to its EOBs. Anything that does not add up is flagged.

Retrieval is a sped-up recording on a mock payer portal. Analysis and posting are illustrations with sample data.

Which San Gabriel Valley cities are you enrolling?

All of them, from Pasadena and Alhambra to Glendora, Diamond Bar and Pomona. Offices elsewhere in Southern California can apply too.

Is Amalgamate a San Gabriel Valley company?

It was founded by Dr. Salem Sayegh, a general dentist who practices in Glendora. Sai for Dentists is built with Simular, the company that makes the Sai computer-use agent.

Does Sai handle Medi-Cal Dental as well as PPO plans?

Sai works through the screen, so it can be set up for any payer portal your office signs in to. We go through your payer list with you during onboarding.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the startup cohort. Afterwards, cohort offices move to a fixed startup price, not a percentage of collections.
